The Principle of Atomicity

One of the main principles in the Zettelkasten system is that of taking atomic notes.

An atomic note is a note which:

• is about one thing and only one thing (topic/subject/fact)
• captures the entirety of the thing as much as possible

Atomic notes are powerful because they are Interoperable.
