Love isn't a finite resource

People act like love is some kind of pie: if you give a big slice to one person, there's less for everyone else.

But love isn't like that. It's more like a muscle, and the more you exercise it, the stronger it gets. It requires nurturing, regular use and regular care, or it atrophies.

Love is something you do, not something you feel. It is a verb, an action, not a noun.

The more you practice loving people, whether romantically, platonically, familialy etc, the more love you'll have to give. At least that's been my experience.

Tell your friends you love them, regularly. Hug them, and let them be the first to let go. Practice loving the people in your life, and you may just find you have more love for people and the world in general.
