Habit
What is a habit? An automated behaviours learned from experience.
Behaviours that have satisfying consequences tend to be repeated until they're automatic - - what happens when the consequences aren't satisfying? Or aren't satisfying enough to outweigh inertia?
Habits are made up of four distinct elements:
- cue: trigger to act
- craving: for a change in state
- response: action taken to change state
- reward: feeling of satisfaction for having taken action. (or lack of discomfort?)

Make a new habit as easy as possible by reducing friction.
Reduce undesired behaviour by increasing friction.
Habits need to be satisfying. Immediate gratification will help habit forming.
Track habits to make them stick.
Clear recommends attaching negative consequences for not sticking to a habit, but that is catastrophic for adhd brains.
Habit stacking: adding a new behaviour on top of an existing habit.
